Description

About the artist:

Binnie is one of the most important artists working in the tradition of Japanese woodblock printmaking. He studied the Japanese printmaking skills for over six years in the studio of a master carver and printer. His work has a  shin-hanga (‘new print’) style. A Go Mishima feel/look. However, technically, Paul Binnie self-carves and self-prints his work, which would suggest he belongs with the sosaku-hanga(‘creative print’) artists.
