Woodblock print. This beautiful print was printed for the first time between 1953-1986.
After 38 years of discontinuation, it is being now printed again EXCLUSIVELY for Kyotoprints .
About the artist:
Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) was a student of Kaburagi Kiyokata. In the 1950s he published bird and animal prints, landscapes and “famous views” with the publisher Unsodo. Alltogether more than 100. He worked in Shin Hanga and Sosaku Hanga style. He is generally regarded as one of the top Shin Hanga woodcut artists in Japan.
