Fu Takenaka was born in 1945. She worked for a design company and started late with printmaking, in 2003. The artist works in the technique of the Japanese woodblock print. Fu Takenaka is a member of the Japanese artist association Nihon Hanga-in and well known in Japan.
The Rokuonji Temple, better known by the nickname Kinkaku-ji, is a temple in Kyoto. With its Golden Pavilion that appears to float on the water, the temple is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Japan.
This work is in excellent condition. Never been framed. Beautiful detail in the last mountain range. This is pressed in the paper. Nice hard colors. Different than the later versions, went she got sick.
